Slovenian Turkish business evening

An extremely interesting and dynamic business event that attracted many entrepreneurs and businessmen from Celje and the wider region. The participants gained a lot of useful information and were acquainted with the characteristics and peculiarities of doing business on the Turkish market or with partners from Turkey.
Initially, all present were addressed by Miloš Rovšnik, Mayor s Commissioner of the Municipality of Celje for the Economy. He also informed the participants about the partership of the Municipality of Celje and the city of Gaziantep from Turkey and the initiative to upgrade cooperation between cities by economic cooperation.

Talks with guests Mizyal Karabiber Nacarogluglu – Honorary Consul of the Republic of Slovenia in Turkey and entrepreneur, Gamze Dogan – Commercial Counsellor on the Embassy of the republic of Turkey in Ljubljana, Tomaž Benčina – President of the Management Board of Cinkarna Celje, Srečko Pirtovšek, President of the Slovenian – Turkish Business Club and Primož Pucihar – Directors of the company Pucihar Celje, wa contucted by Primož Kristan, Celje International chief officer.

The topic of the discussion was focused on the experience of the business of Slovenian companies in Turkey, how to start operations on the Turkish market, business opportunities for Turkish companies in Slovenia. It was presented on the short Turkish market and business culture, and joint business opportunities and investments of Turkish and Slovenian companies.
Also, guests from Turkey presented a brief business culture in Turkey and what needs to be paid special attention to do business with Turkish partners.
There was also talks about the very good geostrategic position of Celje for Europe as well as Gaziantep for the Middle East and other Euro Asian markets. The significance and opportunity in the logistics sector, IT field and automation and digitization were highlighted.
The official part of the event was followed by socializing and networking of participants who had the opportunity to meet potential business partners from both countries.
