
The official opening of the premises of the Bulgarian consulate took place in Celje, which will be led by the honorary consul, entrepreneur Jure Pučko. The event was held to mark the recent 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between the two countries. The mayor of Celje, Bojan Šrot, also attended the opening. In the presence of the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Slovenia, His Excellency Mladen Tcherveniakov, the First Honorary Consul in Slovenia, Jure Puček and the Director General for EU Affairs, Ambassador Ksenia Škrilec, and the Mayor of Celje, Bojan Šrot, the ceremonial opening of the premises of the Consulate of the Republic of Bulgaria in Celje took place yesterday. As the mayor said, the opening of the honorary consulate means a great recognition and honor for the city. At the same time, it also confirms that Bulgaria recognizes Celje as an important regional center of Slovenia, which can contribute to building ties between the two countries in many areas.
